Sarah Hopper is an independent philanthropy advisor who is deeply connected in the Puget Sound philanthropic community and has built a strong professional network nationwide, working successfully with wealth managers, estate planning attorneys, CPAs, family offices and non-profits to represent her clients and their interests. She has conducted hundreds of site visits and stays current on the range of issues that influence philanthropy, from tax issues and regulations, to trends in giving, to urgent community need.

Prior to founding Sound Philanthropy, Sarah was privileged to work alongside talented colleagues at The Seattle Foundation for almost a decade. As Vice President of Philanthropic Services at The Seattle Foundation, she led the team of advisors and associates that provides high-touch services to Foundation donors. Sarah was part of the original Donor Services Department, and was a key player in the creation, launch and implementation of quality donor services. She graduated from Smith College in 1996 with a degree in economics and then started her career in the financial sector before moving into the non-profit world. She lives on Bainbridge Island in Washington State with her husband and two sons.
